Netanya unveils a new look for Independence Square: In July 2013, the beach city of Netanya introduced its NIS 30 million project, the completely redeveloped Kikar Haatzmaut (Independence Square) including Israel's first interactive public fountain. Built with LED screens, water screens and an advanced lighting system, the Kikar Haatzmaut fountain features a nightly sound-and-light show.
