In the Bedouin town of Tel Sheva, located in the Negev desert near the Israeli city of Be'er Sheva, Maryan Abu Rakayek has set up a natural cosmetics company. Using methods learned from her grandmother, and passed down in the Bedouin community from generation-to-generation, Maryan transforms traditional herbs and other natural ingredients into cosmetics, soaps and other treatments.
