A house destined for demolition is transformed by 85 Israeli artists to raise money for children's charities. "Once I Was A House" is an unusual project that began on a sad note -- a house in Caesarea on the chopping block. But the daughter of the owners had a vision to use the building as an exhibition space for Israeli artists to create, display and sell their original works to benefit local children's charities. "We've completely transformed the house, and it came from the idea of not starting from scratch, and taking advantage of something that already exists, and taking advantage of something that is about to die, and really literally transforming it," Sharonna Karni Cohen says in this video. Some 85 artists took part in the project, resulting in sculptures, paintings and multimedia works in and around the house.
