Hot-air balloon pilots from Israel and abroad dazzled onlookers at a colorful sky-high festival at Mount Gilboa.
Hot-air balloon pilots from across the United States and England, as well as Jordan, joined the fun in Israel during the October 2012 hot-air balloon festival in Ma'ayan Harod National Park at Mount Gilboa, sponsored by the Gilboa Regional Council.
"To be here in Israel is just amazing for me," Florida pilot Steve Hoffman says on this video. "The country is more beautiful than I ever imagined."
"We all are here celebrating friendship and the love for hot-air ballooning, which is quite new in Israel," adds Amir Shemer, an Israeli pilot.
Festival Producer Shlomi Eyal notes the Jordanian and Palestinian participants. "We have no borders [in the] sky," he says with a smile.
